Gayla's Needle Holder

I made the knitting needles holder from the S 'N B book.....like Shelby's! I definitely couldn't have done it w/o my Mom. Especially since I don't own a sewing machine. Here I am at her house showing off my D.I.Y. project.
Later, we'll be constructing cup-balls for Christmas. I know you'll all be jealous of my cup-ball when you see it ;)

Michelle's Christmas Stocking

Well, I've had some time on my hands... no appearances from the baby yet. :) And I got the stocking and some ornaments done! I think I will work on some i-cord garland next. I bought the fabric to line the stocking, thank goodness my mom is here to help or I don't know if I would ever get the sewing machine out!

THANK YOU Factory Girls!!

You guys completely blew me away last night with your beautiful, handmade, lovingly crafted gifts! I was totally taken by surprise and you made me feel so special. I will treasure your gifts always....yet still get good use out of them!

Here are some super talented women... Shelby, Kristen & Gayla. Gayla, thanks for hosting!!

Gayla's fine example of a crocheted baby blanket. (I really need to learn to crochet!) This will be on display in the nursery since it matches so perfectly!

Adorable little booties by Kristen...

His feet will be toasty warm in these.
And a fun striped baby hat knitted by Shelby. Can't wait for my baby to be stylin' in this hat.
And the happy mamma-to-be shows off her new collection of accessories for baby. How soon will she be able to try them out?? 1 week, 2 weeks??? Only baby knows....

Again, Thank You, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I just can't express how excited I am about these little treasures. Love you, Michelle

Gayla's Scarf

I searched the blogger help for a way to rotate images and didn't find anything to use in the blogger itself. People suggest opening the image in a photo viewer software, rotating it there, saving it, then uploading it to blogger. That's what I did, and I used IrfanView. So here is the new and improved post of my scarf!

Check out my scarf. It matches my Nikes!!

Michelle's Bib

This is the camouflage bib I created. (notice the fun seed stitch/stockinette combo) I just bought the velcro to sew on to the strap. I wanted to get a picture before I wash it just in case it gets ruined!! The neck hole ended up huge, hopefully it will fit my nephew.

Congratulations, Factory Girls!

Congrats on joining the world of blogging! Michelle, thanks for putting up the pictures (boy, am I happy I cut my hair)!

I hit a snag with the toiletry bag when I needed size 13 double pointed needles. I was going to attempt it with circulars, but the decreases made it just too small. Consider this an appeal to my fellow Factory Girls: size 13 dpn's, anyone?

I'm back to the infamous Kreuz baby blanket, but I've switched yarns (taking the needles from 5's to 10's and decreasing the stitch count by 13). I think it's a much better plan.

Field Trip to The Knitting Nest

Our group met at the Knitting Nest http://www.theknittingnest.com/ for it's Grand Opening on October 13th. We missed Shelby but we discovered a great shop that is convenient for us "southies".

Here is Kristen working furiously on her toiletry bag (how did the felting turn out?) and Gayla trying out the new yarn & needles she just purchased.

Here is Michelle trying out her new rainbow yarn. Maybe it will be a scarf.... maybe wrist warmers.

Did anyone win the door prize we signed up for?
